A talk with the opportunity for us all to put things that inhibit us on ’the table’ - as much or as little as we all like.

We will be sharing our individual approaches to self exploration and welcome the richness of exchange.

Some themes might be:

Are we aware of and dismantling false selves? What are they?

Do we shut down our real self? What is that?

And then how accessible is it for us to recognise our own projection and fantasy lives?

No need to book, just come along.

Haytor Room is a lovely room, separate from the main building out the back by the river.

Suggested donation: £5

Dance of Life with Irena

The background of Irena's dance form is rooted in biodynamic movement and dance. Her Dance of Life sessions are freestyle, based on 5Rhythms principles with some biodynamic movements.

The sessions are designed to induce joy, vitality and rejuvenation

As we have entered the season of harvest, Irena will be dedicating this dance to gratitude and abundance.

So, if you would like to ~ or just need to ~ dance into life more joy, vitality, rejuvenation, gratitude and abundance, come and join us!

As before, at the end, there will be a simple, loosely guided meditative space for all to imbibe in the vibrantly alive, yet deeply peaceful energy that fills the room.

The event is alcohol and substance free and we'll be sharing cacao (a heart opener) at the start.

There's no need to book, just come along. We suggest a £5 donation to help cover our costs.

Irena also runs Dance of Life sessions in Launceston and Tresmeer.

 CHRIS’S WOMENS' SELF DEFENCE

Chris is a black belt in Kenpo with over 20 years experience and is offering one to one in Kenpo for men and women.

He is also very interested in working with the feminine and how we are all conditioned to perceive the masculine and feminine.

Strength arises from what is soft in movement, women can gain more confidence on their own power - physical power. Women's conditioning tells them that they are physically weaker than men. But we all have the same access to the focus and directing of Chi or energy ~ our fluidity. In fact women are immensely strong and it isn't necessarily muscular.

So... working with Kenpo from a more feminine perspective and developing this with Dainei.

S-NC Sticklepath to White Moor SC via Cosdon Hill 6m 091125 with Matchbox S.jpg

One of our longer wander and wonders with the option of a sauna at the end! (3.30 - 4.30).

We'll start and finish by the River Taw near Sticklepath (exact location below) crossing the river and heading south through beautiful woods up to the summit of the huge Cosdon Hill (also known as Cosdon Beacon), with it's fabulous views west and south across Dartmoor and northeast to Exmoor. We'll then descend south to one of the more remote and wild stone circles on Dartmoor, White Moor stone circle (also know as Little Hound Tor stone circle).

We'll then retrace our steps and end up back by the river where there is the optional of a swim or dip and then, of course the further option of a virtually instant warm-up in the mobile sauna just a few metres away. As Josh & Eva will have the sauna fired up and ready to go for an hour, you're welcome to stay and embrace the Finnish tradition of 'contrast bathing' (alternating sauna and cold dips), which promotes circulation, reduces inflammation and stiffness and aids all round rejuvenation.

Directions and start/finish point: From the west end of Sticklepath village, take the lane signposted to Skaigh. After half a mile, take a track to your left at point What 3 words: indicated.ages.fury. Here's a street view of the track:

There's a parking area just a little way down the track.

You can see it here: https://www.instantstreetview.com/@50.72847,-3.936985,19z,2t

Your first Self/Nature Connection pilgrimage is FREE; thereafter £20 or £15 (your choice, honestly :).

Add £10 per person for the sauna.

Image - group on Harton Chest outcrop, Lustleigh Cleave 040525.heic

Six of the group of seven perched on Harton Chest - a rocky outcrop with magnificent views through Lustleigh Cleave and the Moor beyond (May 2025)

Here's a recent testimonial from Sylvia for our Lustleigh Cleave Self~Nature Connection on 4th May....

Dear Paul and Kate,

Here's a big Thank you to you both and the lovely group of people sharing the day with me. Lustleigh Cleave in May is one of the most beautiful spots with seemingly never ending carpets of bluebells in ancient woods.

Sitting on the rocky remainders of an ancient settlement in this enchanted place to be treated to a guided meditation introduced and completed by the sound of Kate's ocarina, rounding off the vision.

Taking in the breathtaking view from the Harton Chest ("heart on chest") rocky outcrop view point, connecting with the rocks whilst listening to a wise tale about the rock beings.

Swimming in the ice cold river- how invigorating, mindful and focussing! Enjoying a reading of moving poetry by one soul warrior and other soul warriors carrying a 'wood dragon' all the way back to the meeting point for a fellow soul warrior.

A wonderfully mindful journey through- and connection with- this enchanted landscape, being able to just be- brilliantly facilitated by Paul and Kate.

Namasté, Sylvia
